Freeport School District Students will be assigned a school bus based on their residential address. When you move or have any changes please contact the Enrollment and Transportation Office as soon as possible for proper scheduling. You will be notified by telephone when any bus stop, bus number, or bus time changes are made. Therefore, please remember it is important to have updated contact information provided to the Enrollment and Transportation office at all times.
If your residence is 100 N West Ave and your child is in 4th grade they would be assigned to the bus stop at Powell and Douglas going to Empire Elementary. You don't have to do anything, your child is automatically assigned to a bus.
If your residence is 100 West Ave but your child goes to Amity for before or after school care you would need to fill out the transportation portion of the information update sheet sent home every spring and return it to the Enrollment and Transportation office. If your child's before or afterschool care changes during the school year you must contact the Enrollment and Transportation office to make the change.
