Measures of Academic Progress (MAP)
 
Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) creates a personalized assessment for each individual student by adapting to the student's learning level.  The adaptive assessment measures each students progress and growth from Kindergarten through Grade  11.  Different levels of assessments are used to accurately show student learning as they progress through the Freeport School District.
 
 
MPG assessments are used in Kindergarten through Grade 2 and are designed specifically for our youngest students.  All MPG assessments include both audio instructions and engaging visuals.
 
MPG Screener
Assessment for both ELA and Math are used to get a baseline information for Kindergarten students.  This assessment is given at the beginning of the year and can be used at any time during the year for new students to the district for both Early Literacy and Number Skills.

MPG Skills Checklists
The purpose of the checklists is to assess knowledge of a specific skill.  This assessment may given throughout the year as a pre/post assessment for the following topics:
  • Phonics
  • Phonological awareness
  • Numeracy
  • Computation
MAP Survey with Goals
Computer adaptive test that assesses student achievement according to standards-aligned content in Kindergarten through Grade 2. Students will receive a Rasch Unit (RIT) score and can be used to measure growth over time. This assessment is given 3 times per year (Fall, Winter, Spring).

Computer adaptive test that assesses student achievement according to standards aligned content in Grades 3 through 11.  Students receive a Rasch Unit (RIT) score and can be used to measure growth over time.  This assessment is given 3 times per year (Fall, Winter, Spring).
